== Career ==

=== Stand-up comedy ===

Raina began his career through open-mic performances and subsequently developed a career in stand-up comedy. His early work included performances in Pune before he gained wider recognition through comedy competitions and digital entertainment.

In 2019, Raina participated in the second season of ''Comicstaan'', an Amazon Prime Video stand-up comedy competition. He and Aakash Gupta were announced as joint winners of the season. Both winners received a trophy and a cash prize of ₹10 lakh.

The ''Comicstaan 2'' victory became a significant milestone in Raina's career and expanded his audience beyond the local comedy circuit.

=== YouTube and digital content ===

Raina developed an online audience through his YouTube channel, where his content has included comedy, gaming and chess. His channel has also featured collaborations, live streams and entertainment-focused videos.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Raina became increasingly involved in online chess streaming. His streams combined chess games with comedy and informal commentary, helping introduce chess-related content to an audience primarily familiar with his comedy work.

Chess.com lists Raina as an Indian chess player and records games played under his name. He has also appeared in chess-related events and collaborations involving established chess personalities.

== India's Got Latent ==

In June 2024, Raina launched ''India's Got Latent'', a Hindi-language comedy and talent show distributed through YouTube. The programme combines elements of a talent competition, stand-up comedy and panel entertainment.

Contestants perform different types of acts, including comedy, singing, dancing and magic, before a panel of judges and guests. Raina serves as the show's host and central presenter.

The programme attracted considerable online attention and became one of Raina's principal digital projects. Its format incorporated contestant performances, comedy and interactions with guest panelists.

=== Controversy ===

''India's Got Latent'' became the subject of public and legal scrutiny in 2025 following remarks made by Ranveer Allahbadia during an episode of the programme. Police complaints and investigations followed the incident, with Raina and other individuals associated with the programme coming under scrutiny.

Following the controversy, episodes of the programme were made unavailable on YouTube. The incident generated broader public discussion concerning online comedy, content moderation and freedom of expression in digital entertainment.

== Return of India's Got Latent ==

In June 2026, Netflix and Raina announced the return of ''India's Got Latent'' for a second season. Netflix announced that the second season would be released through Netflix and YouTube, with new episodes scheduled at two-week intervals.
